Boko Haram: Ali Modu Sheriff defends himself in new interview

Former governor of Borno state, Ali Modu
Sheriff has denied all allegations that he is a
sponsor of Boko haram in a recent interview
with New telegraph.
This is coming after an Australian terrorist
negotiator, Stephen Davis accused him openly
of being a sponsor of the terrorist sect. Sheriff
says that anyone who accuses him of being
part of the sect must be insane.

The first casualty was me. Then, they
killed my cousin. They killed my candidate
for governorship; they killed my party
chairman. Two of them were direct
relations of mine. Why did they do that?
Because I made a law prohibiting Boko
Haram in the domain of Borno State.The
law said anybody practising or associated
with what Boko Haram was doing, was
banned by law from so doing, and if
caught, will be prosecuted and jailed for
25 years"

Boko Haram. I thought that really, if he is
a professional mediator or negotiator, or

would have been given to the security

Boko Haram, before making his views
public, he should have known that I have
a right of reply. He should have asked for
my reaction or views on his findings,

Chief Security Officer in UNILAG was assasinated at beer parlour.

The head of operations, Security Unit of the
University of Lagos, Sunday Adejumo, was killed
on Friday August 29th by suspected assassins
at a beer parlor on Oyenuga street, behind St

Adejumo, 50, was drinking with some friends at
a beer parlour called Daniel's Place when three
men walked up to him, dragged him off his
chair, stabbed him before they shot him dead.

where he was sitting. They had different
weapons, ranging from cutlasses to

interrogated.

Kolle, said the unknown gunmen actually tried
to escape with the deceased car after they
killed him
"Investigations revealed that the man
parked his car a distance away from
where he was drinking. The police also
discovered that there was a blood stain
on the car and the car key was found
within the vicinity, also with blood stains.
This can only mean that after they killed
him, they attempted to go away with his
car. They actually succeeded in opening
the car because there were blood stains
on the car seat. But the car did not move
because of the security system in it. The
owner of the bar has been arrested and
he has made statements. We cannot
categorically say whether this was a
robbery or an assassination plot. The
matter is still under investigation.” he said

The Lord needs the page open! The

I believe the Lord allowed our silence to
show us and all of you who are concerned
about the ministry just how deep the
problems are.  It is not surprising the
negative, abusive and insultive comments
people have come here to make against
others because they decided to stand up
for truth and speak up.
The truth is that most of these people
know the truth but the devil will not give
up
without a fight. Some of these people
were sent here by the leadership of the
ministry thinking that a couple of barks
will scare people away and finally shut
down the page. What they do not realise
is that our God is not a sentimental God
and when He puts His hands on a thing,
that thing becomes unstoppable. No
matter what anybody says, does or
thinks.
It is important for us to realise that Rev.
Anita did not just leave, this is the move
of the Spirit. There is no one else He
could have moved in this way to cause a
shaking for change. Plus, He could use
her because she has never been a part of
the evil. The Lord just separated her from
the start and she gave herself to
worshipping the Lord in Spirit and in Truth
from the start.
When Pastor Chris moved her and the
children to the UK and seemed to
separate himself from his family, little did
he know that the Lord was going to use
his unfair thoughts and actions for the
good of Rev. Anita and all His children
who the ministry have smartly and are
still trying to smartly lead away from God.
The wisdom of man can never match the
wisdom of God.
While, Pastor Chris is not making, I
repeat, not making any moves to reconcile
with his wife, he still needs her name and
face in his materials to keep them
attracting people and selling. How
deceitful is that? Her name and face still
appear on some Rhapsody of Realities
articles she did not write. The authors of
Rhapsody of Realities remain Pastors Chris
and Anita Oyakhilome, even though she is
completely out of the picture. And that is
what some people hang on to to debunk
the fact that she is no longer in the
picture.
They initially tried to take her face and
name off but realised quickly that it
would be bad business for them. So, what
next, keep her face and name on but her
presence of course is not required. Well,
not anymore! This is no longer the time of
business as usual. Not at all!
Dear Pastor Chris, God is a merciful God.
You know that. We still love you and will
stand with you if you make the change.
There is still time to make the required
changes. You know very well the changes
God needs you to make. Our thinking that
the marriage is what needs fixing, is
misplaced. The marriage breakdown is the
result of the heart turned away from
God.
Turn your heart back to your first love
and the restorer will restore all. Yes,

but the merciful Lord will not allow it to

Ebola;Dead Port Harcourt Doctor's Infected Widow, Moved to Lagos

TheThe infected widow of Dr Iyke Enemoah, the
Port Harcourt based doctor who died on Friday
August 22nd from Ebola Virus Disease in Port
Harcourt Rivers state has been moved to Lagos
for proper isolation and treatment. Her 3-
months old baby is among the 160 people
placed under surveillance in Port Harcourt.
Speaking to newsmen yesterday August 29th in
Port Harcourt, the state Commissioner for
Health, Sampson Parker, said most of those
placed under surveillance at the Port Harcourt
Isolation center are medical doctors, nurses
and patients Dr Enemoah interacted with at his
Samsteel Clinic at Rumuokoro, as well as the
Green Hart Hospital where he died.
Dr Enemoah passed away at the Green Hart
Hospital after been infected with the deadly
virus from an ECOWAS diplomat, Olubukun
Koye, who he secretly treated at a hotel in Port
Harcourt.
Meanwhile it's been discovered that the hotel
is Mandate Gardens Hotel in Rumunokoro area
in Obio/Akpor LGA of Rivers State. People have
been advised to avoid the hotel for the time
being

President Jonathan today August 28th launched the new national e-ID card at the Villa in Abuja. The new e-ID card which is powered by MasterCard is a multi-purpose card for identification, electronic signatures, and can be used for depositing money, withdrawing and making payments. So it's both an ID card and ATM.

Doctors say most necks have 7 vertebrae but 15 year old Chinese boy Fu Wengui (pictured above) has 10. As a young boy he was diagnosed with Congenital Scoliosis and an abnormal chest frame which made his neck grow extra three inches. This causes him a lot of pain and makes it hard for Fu to walk. Congenital scoliosis is caused by the bones in the spine developing abnormally in the womb.

"He always causes a stir when he's out. The vertebrae press on the nerves in his neck and make it difficult for him to walk." his dad, Genyou said

Fortunately for Fu, after his situation was made public, a Beijing-based charity agreed to finance a procedure and treatment. He will have corrective surgery that will hopefully reduce the length of his neck and ease the discomfort.

According to a report on Sahara Reporters, a doctor resident in Port Harcourt who treated a diplomat that had direct contact with late Patrick Sawyer in Lagos, died last week Friday August 22nd from Ebola virus disease. Ironically, the diplomat he treated is still alive.

The unidentified doctor had taken the diplomat to an undisclosed hotel in Port Harcourt to secretly treat him after the diplomat failed to turn himself in during the search for those who had direct contact with the late Patrick Sawyer.

President Jonathan condemns stigmatization of Nigerians over Ebola

President Goodluck Ebele Jonathan Wednesday in Abuja condemned the stigmatization of Nigerians by some countries over recent cases of the Ebola Virus Disease in the country.

Speaking at a meeting with Mr. David Navarro, a Special Envoy of the United Nations Secretary-General, President Jonathan particularly denounced discriminatory actions such as that which forced Nigeria’s team to the Youth Olympics in China to abandon its participation.

Noting that there was no justification for such stigmatization of Nigerians since the Ebola Virus Disease had been effectively  contained in the country and never attained epidemic levels, the President called for the cessation of discriminatory actions against Nigerians over the virus and urged the UN Secretary General, Mr.  Ban Ki Moon  to support the call.

Responding to the Secretary General’s commendation of Nigeria’s management of the threat of Ebola, President Jonathan praised the Federal Ministry of Health, the Lagos State Government and all Nigerians for the success achieved so far in containing the virus and avoiding a national epidemic.

“All hands have been on deck to contain the virus here. I commend my team and the Lagos State Government. We have been able to set politics aside and work in unison to deal with a national threat.

“All other Nigerians have played a part too by complying with the directives and advice we have issued to stop the virus from spreading any further. The success we have had is a testimony to what we can achieve as people if we set aside our differences and work together,” he told Mr. Navarro.

The President assured the Special Envoy that in spite of the seeming  success of  its containment measures, the Federal Government and its agencies will remain vigilant to guard against further cases of Ebola in the country.

“We will continue to monitor the situation and we will also support other affected African countries as much as we can because we cannot be completely safe from the virus as long as it continues to ravage some countries in our sub-region and continent. We will continue to work with the international community to curb the outbreak in other countries,” President Jonathan pledged.

Mr. Navarro who  had visited Liberia, Guinea and Sierra Leone, the countries worst hit by Ebola before coming to Nigeria, told the President that he had come, on the instruction of the UN Secretary-General, to applaud Nigeria’s successful containment of the virus.

“The Secretary-General asked me to come here too, not because you have an Ebola problem, but because you have tackled it in an exemplary fashion.

“Your personal leadership on the matter has been key. There may still be some work to be done before the virus is completely cleared out from here, but other countries can learn from your fine example,” Mr. Navarro told the President.

 an average youth these days is not ready for marriage even when marital doors  strikes  open for him or her. and most of them always say' I know I will get married so why the rush, I'm too young and busy. and should I take up a little of a "grapevine" thing like marriage? I can do that wen I get a little older, please let me enjoy somewhat of life, and then I will have more time to think about marriage. assuming you belong to a school of thought, are you sure you will be fresher or your spouse will still be available for you  when you are ready? there is time for everything, time up yourself and get the best of today because there will never be another today.

 

7&8.Cooking and Poor or Lack of Body Maintenance

 

Many average maiden had failed the sincere test and lost her home .Ask any sincere man who intents to get married and he would tell you that the first and simplest test he would expect from his fiancée  is to pass in flying colors, is cooking. in Africa today, any lady who cannot cook is bound to jump from one marital home to another.

although beauty is the gift of nature but one has to take proper care of the body before it attracts someone else. and it distracts intended spouse seeker.

 

7.Mood

Nigeria's oldest Pastor dies at 114

Founder and President of the Gospel Apostolic Church, Pa Samuel Sadela, who is described as the oldest pastor in Nigeria, has died at the age of 114.

Pa Sadela died yesterday August 26th at the church premises. The church has already opened a condolence register in front of its premises. Pa Samuel was born in 1900 and started his pastoral journey in 1928. Continue...

He made news headlines in 2007 when at the age of 107 years, he took a 30 year old wife, 6 years after his second wife passed away.

Pa Samuel, an indigene of Ondo state, first got married in 1934, with the marriage lasting for 21 years, but none of the couple’s seven children lived beyond their infancy. A second marriage, said to have been consummated in 1965, was blessed with four children, but only two survived. His second wife died in 2001.

While celebrating his 113th birthday last year, Pa Samuel said he wished to live up to 200 years

“I feel happy to be this old. Actually, I feel like a young man. I still enjoy my meal of Iyan (pounded yam), Eba and bush meat. I sleep whenever I want to and wake up stronger. I want to live longer to prove to all that God remains the same as He was in times past. If Methuselah could live for 969 years, God can make me live well beyond 113. If Noah could be 950, it is not too much for Him to make me live up to 200.” He said

The first British citizen to contract the deadly Ebola virus, 29-year-old British nurse, William Pooley, has been given the experimental drug ZMapp in London. Two US patients had recovered after taking the drug, though an infected Liberian doctor died.

Dr Michael Jacobs, clinical leader in infectious diseases at Royal Free Hospital, told Sky News:

We have had the opportunity to give him the ZMapp treatment that I am sure you are aware of. It is an experimental medicine and we made that absolutely clear in our discussions with him. After careful consideration William decided that he would like to take the experimental drug ZMapp and he took the first dose of the drug on Monday. What has become apparent to us is that he is clearly a rather resilient and remarkable young man."

Pooley was diagnosed with the hemorrhagic disease while working in Sierra Leone. He was flown back to the United Kingdom on Sunday in a specially adapted Royal Air Force cargo plane.

The success rate of the Ebola drug, ZMapp, which is grown in tobacco leaves, remains uncertain. US Ebola-infected missionaries, Dr Kent Brantly and Nancy Writebol were both successfully treated with the serum in Atlanta and left hospital last week. However, Liberian doctor, Abraham Borbor died on Sunday despite receiving the ZMapp drug.

 "The next few days will be crucial. The disease has a variable course and we will know much more in a week's time," said Mike Jacobs, infectious diseases consultant at the London hospital.
